Hotel Policies

BetterDog reserves the right to refuse service and admittance to any pet guest who lacks proof of vaccinations, displays signs of contagious health conditions, demonstrates aggressive behavior or does not meet our health and temperament standards. 

A room can only be guaranteed if your reservation is confirmed in advance. To confirm your reservation, we require:

  1. Proof of your dog's current vaccinations from your vet. This can be emailed to BetterDog at betterdog@me.com.

  2. Signed copies of the BetterDog Hotel Rules, Signed Agreement and Guest Profile form.

  3. 50% of total bill paid.

 

Payment must be paid in full upon check in. We accept cash, check or credit card. Returned checks will be subject to bank charges in addition to the grooming charge for which the check was intended.

 

GUARANTEED BOOKING POLICY

Online reservation requires one (1) night's worth of online payment during regular days and during Peak/Holiday Rate period a 2-night deposit is required.

 

CANCELLATIONS, PAYMENT & HOLIDAY MINIMUM STAY POLICY
Cancellations made less than 3 days, will forfeit 15% of total reservation. And cancellations made less than 24 hours, will forfeit 30% of total reservations.

 

For holiday reservations, please notify us one week in advance. A 50% deposit is required for all holiday reservations. there is also an additional 15% per day charge during holiday periods.

 

For peak holiday period there is a non-refundable charge of ₱1,400 at the time of booking. And if at least 5 days notice is given, then we will charge 1 night room rate.

 

Payment must be paid in full upon check in. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, cash or check. checks will be subject to bank charges in addition to the boarding charge for which the check was intended.

 

We have a minimum stay requirement of (3) nights for peak holiday periods as referenced below: Three-night minimum stay:

  • Easter Weekend

  • October 30 - November 2

  • December 20 - Jan 3

 

CANCELLATIONS

Cancellations made less than 3 days from the check-in date will forfeit 15% of total reservation. And cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to the check-in date will forfeit 30% of total reservation.

 

VACCINATIONS & HEALTH POLICY
We require a veterinarian certificate indicating proof of vaccination for the following:

  • Rabies - Current in the last year

  • 5-in-1 (Leptospirosis and DHPP - Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza, and Parvovirus)

  • Vaccinations - Current in the last year

  • Bordetella or Kennel Cough - Current in the last 6 months

 

We recommend the bordetella vaccination be administered every 6 months, within the year is required. If the bordetella vaccine has never been given, or if it has expired, a 7 day waiting period is required after the administration.

 

For all other vaccinations, a 24-hour waiting period is required after the first administration of a vaccination or if it has expired. Have your vet email us a copy at betterdog@me.com.

 

MEDICATION
Our Care Specialists will administer oral or topical medications to those who need them. Medications must be properly labeled and dosage indicated on Overnight Check-In Form. Guests requiring specialized care are handled on a case by case basis and may be referred to their own personal veterinarian or an on-call veterinarian recommended by BetterDog.

 

FOOD
Owners are encouraged to bring their own brand of dog food as most dogs are sensitive to sudden dietary changes. Please provide ample food for your dog's entire stay and if possible put each feeding in separate baggies, labeled with pet's name. In the event that your food runs out, a ₱300  transportation fee may apply in addition of the cost of the food. Instructions for specialty meal preparation involving cooking and/or thawing of meals must be indicated.

 

POTTY WALKS/EXERCISE
Dogs are walked to the indoor potty area for potty breaks every 3 hours.

 

DOG PLAY GROUPS
We will have to get the owner's approval on allowing their dogs to exercise, interact, socialize and play together in a calm environment.

 

FLEA, TICK & INTERNAL PARASITE CONTROL
All dogs are required to have a bravecto, Frontline, Advantix or Revolution application at the time of boarding. The treatment will protect your pet up to 30 days. If external parasites are discovered upon check-in, guest will be treated with an effective form of flea control at owner/guardian's expense if no proof of flea and tick prevention is presented. If internal parasites are discovered during a guest's stay, treatment and additional private room charges may apply at the owner/guardian's expense.

 

AGE
All guest staying at BetterDog Hotel must be at least 4 months old

 

TEMPERAMENT EVALUATION
To ensure the safety of all other guest and employees, all guests must undergo a temperament evaluation before taking part in social activities at BetterDog Hotel.

 

PRIVATE ACCOMMODATIONS
If your dog is not social with other dogs, or requires one-on-one attention, for the safety of our guest, he/she is required to stay in a private suite and will not be allowed to participate in activities with other dogs. Please note that BetterDog has sole discretion on whether dogs may take part in social activities.

 

DOG PLAY GROUPS
We will have to get the owner's approval on allowing their dogs to exercise, interact, socialize and play together in a calm environment.

 

DOGS IN HEAT
We will refuse female dogs in heat because they can stress our male guests staying at the hotel.

 

PERSONAL BELONGINGS
BetterDog Hotel Provides bowls for the dogs that stay overnight with us. We prefer that you do not bring personal items as we cannot guarantee their condition upon checkout. BetterDog Hotel is not responsible for any lost or damaged items.

 

HEALTH
All guest must be in good health. BetterDog Hotel will not accept the following: Guests that have a terminal illness, guests that require medical treatment beyond the dispensing of oral and tropical medication. Examples include shots, drains, bandage changes, suture removal, etc. Guests that are not capable of walking, urinating and eliminating without assistance, guests that have had or been exposed to a contagious, communicable disease and/or illness of any type during the thirty (30) days before scheduled check-in. BetterDog Hotel will require veterinarian documentation providing a clean health record after treatment and/or medication has been administered and completed. Pets displaying signs of issues including, but not limited to, incontinence, severe lack of mobility, epilepsy, or diabetes will not be accepted as guests.

If it is time for your pet's yearly exam or other follow-up, these appointments can be scheduled with the doctor during your pet's stay as well.

 

BEHAVIOR
BetterDog Hotel does not allow dogs that have caused injury or shown aggression toward humans.

 

ASSUMPTION OF RISK: OWNER/GUARDIAN ACKNOWLEDGES AND IS AWARE THAT EMPLOYEES OF BETTERDOG HOTEL ARE NOT VETERINARIANS AND DO NOT HAVE BACKGROUNDS IN ANIMAL MEDICINE AND ARE NOT EXPECTED TO DIAGNOSE OR DETECT ILLNESSES IN THE GUESTS THAT ARE STAYING AT BETTERDOG HOTEL. IN ADDITION, OWNER/GUARDIAN ACKNOWLEDGES AND IS AWARE THAT VACCINES DO NOT PROTECT AGAINST ALL COMMUNICABLE ILLNESSES THAT MAY AFFECT A GUEST. OWNER/GUARDIAN ACKNOWLEDGES AND AGREES THAT THEY ARE ASSUMING (I) ALL RISK OF ILLNESS, DISEASE, HARM OR OTHERWISE TO THEIR DOG BY ALLOWING THEIR DOG TO STAY AT BETTERDOG HOTEL AND (II) ALL RISK OF DAMAGES CAUSED BY THEIR DOG TO TOHER DOGS, TO ANY BETTERDOG HOTEL EMPLOYEE, AGENT OR TO ANY BETTERDOG HOTEL ASSET AND THAT BETTERDOG HOTEL SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY FOR ANY HARM TO SUCH DOG.
